Yuika Nomaru (農丸 結歌, Nōmaru Yuika), is the childhood friend and classmate of Kyu Sagurada.

Appearance

Yuika is a teenage girl with long light brown hair with bangs. Her eyes are also light brown.

Personality

Yuika has shown to have a proactive and prudent personality, seen when she nags Kyu about him not taking his exams seriously. She is caring as she tries to support Kyu and not let him waste his talents, she's conscious of why he is the way he is and she tries to keep him in high spirits.

History

Yuika as a child, was good friends with Kyu and Shu Sagurada. She was present on the day of the incident that led to Shu's disappearance as they were playing hide-and-seek, and she was seeking.

Plot

Yuika is first seen at school where she complains to Kyu about him not taking his exams seriously. She notices that he was playing a game and trying to get exactly 60 points and scalds him about it as he is wasting his intelligence. They both overhear classmates talking about a missing child, which leads her to bring up the incident around Shu's disappearance. She watching Kyu lumped over on his desk and she says to herself how she wants him to become more lively again. After the girl is rescued the next day, Yuika walks with Kyu as they talk about the incident. She mentions how Shu could still be alive before going their separate ways.

The next day, Yuika spots Kyu in school with Kimi. She asks him what he has in his hand but he refused to tell her and she is fine with it. When Miyu can't find her phone, Yuika interrogates Anna and Nami about it since they seem suspicious. She tells them to give it back, but they deny knowing about it. It is later revealed that the did hide the phone, so set up Miyu with Shugo. The 4 girls all walk home together, Yuika is shocked that they didn't let her in on their plan and they tell her it was because she's too honest. They all leave to go to Miyu's house.

Miyu's house was in the Kichijouji High-rise, which was raided by a group of robbers, organised by Zenichiro Kangan. Yuika, alongside the rest of the girls were running through the building away from the robbers. They eventually locked themselves in Miyu's apartment, but the robbers were trying to get in. Kyu then calls Yuika explaining how they just want to steal from the house and that escape from the room and onto the balcony and hide in the garbage drop-off. Yukia trusted Kyu and called the rest of the girls to follow her as she broke through the window onto the balcony. As they all ran to the garbage drop-off, Yuika was grabbed by one of the thugs and accidentally took his mask off. Since she saw his face, the thug decided he had to kill her and began to strangle her. Yuika was struggling to get him off her, until Kyu swag a bat at him to save her. He checks to see if she was alright before telling them to apologise. When Kyu was able to trick them all into fleeing, they both headed to the garbage drop-off where the rest of the girls were. The 5 of them then spent the night at Miyu's house, waiting for the power to come back. Anna was teasing Kyu about liking Yuika and Yuika became very flushed after hearing him say he could see them getting married.

The next day Yuika and Kyu headed home on the train, but still surprised at what happened the day before. Yuika then stated how she'd always be there for Kyu whenever he'd need help. They both eventually ran into their parents as they got home and Yuika ran up to her mother and hugged whilst sobbing.
